The event kicks off Saturday, October 1st at 4 p.m. at the Come and Take it BBQ, west of Alpine on Highway 90. It will last through midnight, with the events starting up on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Grupo de la Paz, Blan Scott Band, Craig Carter and the Spur of the Moment Band with special guest Trent Willmon, and the Doodlin’ Hogwallops.

A brief history of the Battle of Gonzales given by Matt Walter, curator at the Museum of the Big Bend and history professor at Sul Ross State University.
